Naughty Knots Knit and Crochet

Pretty Chevron Scarf

I started working on this scarf last night after hours of homework and a horrible paper for my Psychology of Learning class. It was nice to start something fun after all that. I am using Vanna’s Choice yarn and a super cute pattern I found for FREE at Jo-Ann Fabrics (I love that store). So far I have put a couple hours of work into it, and I can tell it is going to be a pretty long project because of all the color changes, and the emphasis I have been putting on the Tunisian Crochet shoulder bag I have been working on. I love the way it has been working up so far, the colors look really nice together. I am hoping to finish my Tunisian Crochet bag this weekend!

For updates on the scarf, the bag or the other projects I am working on head over to my…

Telly & Crochet

Well I’ve had a couple of days off and a very lazy day today with a poorly baby, my aim for tonight is finish my cat and hopefully start on a blanket, another pair of gloves, a hippo, a snowman or a santa. I will have a look what colours I have in. Is there anything in that list in particular anyone would like me to start? I will post lots of “in progress” pictures and keep you updated 😀

:-( Bad news

Unfortunately the doctor doesn’t know what is wrong with my shoulder and is sending me for an xray on Monday. Hopefully they will fins out what’s wrong but going to have to take things easy for now 😦

Granny Square Scarf

A Conversation with Moo

I’ve seen many granny square scarves on Pinterest, so this has been on my To Do List for some time now.

Scarf_2smlScarf_1smlScarf_12smlThis is made from 16 squares, each five rounds. It’s quite long ~ 14 squares would probably have done. I did two rows of DC (UK) for the border, then a final row of htr.

Scarf_3smlScarf_11smlI wanted to use blues and greens and purples.. something different from my normal pink tones. It was starting to look too “same same” though, so I added a pop of yellow, and some cream.

Scarf_17smlScarf_18smlScarf_22smlAll yarn is 100% wool, and all from my stash. It’s not often I can say that! The turquoise colour is Heirloom Color Works. It’s 8ply 100% Australian Merino Wool, super soft and lovely to work with. It’s not too expensive either. It’s available in a great range of colours too.

Gloves Finished – Next Project Started

So I have finished my gorgeous black and red fingerless loves, but seeing as they are a surprise I am not posting any photos until they have been received.

I have started work on my next project, a cute little cat. If you check out my instagram you will see my work in progress photo. Hopefully get him finished tomorrow while Amelia is at school, all I have to do is go to the docs and find out what is going on with my shoulder (and now ear so probably all linked). Once the cat is done I need to work on a gorgeous Hippo and a snowman, father christmas and a stocking – I have never attempted any of these patterns before so looking forward to seeing how they turn out.

Remember we have an offer on fingerless gloves – £5 only with FREE DELIVERY anywhere in Europe and the 2 competitions running –  on Facebook we just need 14 more likes to get us to 200 to have a price draw for an Eddie Teddy (competition post can be found on the page) and our Twitter competition for a free pair of fingerless gloves when we reach 250 followers – @costadelcddles.

Right my munchkin has finished her dinner and is asking to do some “dancing” on the Wii so looks like no rest for me before my second Zumba class of the day – oh well I love her and I love to dance so its all good 🙂
